Alice in Wonderland

Book cover illustration for Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

This is a self-initiated project, following a brief set by Muti Studio for the Make Your Mark Illustration Bootcamp course 2026.

Alice in Wonderland was one of my favorite books growing up, so I couldn’t let the opportunity slide to illustrate a cover for this iconic story.

The cloudy spiral gives a dreamy feeling, while the blood on Alice’s leg from the rose thorn and Alice falling give the cover an ominous feeling.

I added references to the Queen of Hearts, her 5 of Spades gardeners who painted the roses red, and the White Rabbit and his pocket watch.

The illustration is cyclical – Alice is falling into a red circle, her leg coming out from above.

The illustration was created in Procreate.
